Welcome to Soul Upgrade!
You are invited to a new way of living through a personal relationship with God. It is no mistake that you have found your way here and we pray that you will find what your heart is seeking. We believe God is the One who created us and our lives are incomplete until we choose to commit our lives back to God. It is this yearning for relationship with God that compels us to seek God. However, with our incomplete understanding, we try to satisfy this yearning with other things. It is only when we are in relationship with God that we find the deep yearning of our hearts truly satisfied.
The challenge we face is that we are steeped in a culture which often leads us in the wrong direction. Our lives become enmeshed in things that promise to satisfy the yearning of our hearts, yet always fail to deliver. Just like a computer that needs its hard drive reformatted after picking up a destructive virus, we need our “heart-drive” reformatted by the One who knows every intimate detail about us. God is the System Administrator that can erase the destructive programming on our heart-drive, and overwrite the faulty programming that leads us in wrong directions.
This may seem difficult to believe, but we know this to be true because of the witness of Jesus Christ found in the Bible. Jesus revealed the true nature of God to be unconditional love and forgiveness, which he demonstrated even to those who murdered him. Because of his witness, God raised Jesus from the dead, and imparts this Holy Resurrection power to all who would simply receive it.
This means that no matter what we have done, God loves and forgives us. It also means that God loves us too much to leave us in this defective condition. God’s unmerited favor erases our mistakes and provides a fresh start. God’s indwelling Spirit empowers us to live differently. All this is freely given to anyone who will choose to receive it.
If you are tired of the way you have been living, if your life feels empty and meaningless, if you ache for something more than merely existing, we invite you to choose a relationship with God. It’s not difficult to do and begins by saying a simple prayer. Below we’ve provided a sample prayer, but feel free to just tell God how you feel.
Sample prayer:
Loving God, I need you. I’m sorry for the things that I have done that have led me away from you. Please forgive me and help me to live the life you imagined for me. Take control of my life and help me to live differently. Amen.
