Spiritual Gifts Inventory
Ephesians 4:12 says that spiritual gifts are given “to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ.”
God gives each one of us a unique blend of abilities that we can use for service. By learning about the different types of abilities and which ones are strongest in us, we can better fit together as the body of Christ, with each person doing what they are best at – and what they enjoy the most. Together, we will be stronger. Spiritual gifts are unique in that they are used, as the verse says, to build up the body of Christ.
This is an inventory to help us recognize the gifts we have. It is not a test – you cannot pass or fail. It is important to remember that no gift is more important or better than any other. Each gift is necessary for a complete body. Just like a human body, we need all the parts in order to be healthy and fully functioning.
Like any inventory, your mood, your current situation in life, and many other changeable factors will have an influence on the results. As you look at your results, remember that things can and will change, including which spiritual gifts are most prominent in you at any one time.
It is hoped that this inventory will help everyone to be in ministry in a way they enjoy and in a place that resonates with their skills and abilities.
